Youth Pastor: Elyano Nascimento

On Friday May 3, 1991 a week before turning sixteen years old, he was saved in a youth service at Pace Assembly of God in Pace, Florida. Ten days later he was filled with the Holy Ghost (at a West Florida Assembly of God District Council Meeting while in the second floor of his hotel room).

At the age of seventeen, during a revival service, he received the call to preach. He decided to attend Ozark Bible Institute, in Neosho, Missouri. He was involved in ministry all four years. His first two years was spent in the school’s profession choir. His third year, he was in the school’s outreach group. He directed the outreach group in his fourth year. After his fourth year he was asked to select three other students to travel with him in the school’s Summer Outreach group.

Almost a year later, he traveled across the country for roughly 8 months, from Connecticut to California, preaching from church to church in preparation to go to the missions’ field with Bro. B. H. Clendennen, President and Founder of the School of Christ International. The plans were to go to Brazil and establish a School of Christ. Unfortunately the trip was postponed indefinitely.

Though he worked with the youth group at Gospel Light off and on since the summer of 1995 (due to schooling, traveling, and other circumstances), on January 1, 2006, he became the first Youth Pastor at Gospel Light Community Church.

He married Jasmine Centeno on July 22, 2006. The happy couple's first child, Donovan, was born in late 2007.
